Secret Restaurant Oxford ?
I’m an avid reader of Jay Rayners Restaurant reviews in the Observer Magazine on Sundays.
Last week we saw him twice at the Hay Festival, we saw him interview Heston Blumenthal which was really informative, the hall was jammed there must have been a few thousand people listening to an absolute GENIUS (Heston that is).
Anyway this week Jay talked about visiting a private dining club. Basically it’s someones house that turns into a restaurant for the evening.

I’ve always fancied myself as a wannabe Chef, when Raymond Blanc was doing his Restaurant Show we went to one of the retaurants (Mad Mike and his daughter Welcome to the Mad House) for an evening and loved it.
I reckon putting yourself under the spotlight and putting yourself out there and cooking for people who are going to pay you- Could be a bit of an adrenaline rush!
Anyway I live in Oxford and am SERIOUSLY thinking about having a crack at it.
